Let's Talk Apple

New Apple products and services were introduced yesterday in San Fran and I have to be honest...There are only a couple of things that really stand out to me. If you are an Apple enthusiast, please let me know your thoughts, though. I have an iPhone and an iPad but I also have a Surface Pro which I enjoy, too, so I'm not tethered to the brand.

So let's get to it, here's what I like. First, there is the new Apple pencil. This thing is packed full of sensors that determine how you're holding the gadget itself. Second, Apple's new 3D Touch allows device users to gradiate the strenth of pressure they use, thus activating different commands. So these are kinda nice additions to the Apple staples that we already have; however--and I hate to be a 'Debbie-Downer'--there are a lot of smoke and mirror type tactics that Apple seems to roll out when it unveils its new material. Rose gold colored phones? Really? C'mon, Apple! New plastic watch bands and partnering with Hermes for leather watch straps....Hmmm. Been there, done that.

This definitely isn't a slam against Apple, trust me. Love this company and love their products. I just want the same kind of excitement and energy from them that we've experienced in the past. A couple of suggestions: we've seen the Fitbit and a whole host of fitness gadgets from other companies that are now kinda passe. Apple, please be the pioneer that you are and give us fitness geeks something swoon-worthy. Can you give me some kind of sensor app built into my phone that I can place over my meals automatically count my macros? If not that, something. Anything. I know if any company can do it, it would be Apple. I have faith in you, Apple!
