Portable Cardboard Desks are Great for Startups

Refold has developed a portable cardboard desk that weighs less than 10 lbs and can be set up in a few minutes. You can use Refold's concept as a standing desk or easily adjust it to a seated desk. Startups would benefit from this desk because they can move the desk to different locations--so if you don't have a permanent office you can take it with you wherever you go and set it up on the spot. Nice idea but the price seems slightly steep: approximately $300 for a waterproof top desk. While you can draw all over it and customize it to your tastes, one other drawback is the fact that it only lasts up to 3 years at which time you can recycle it. Refold may want to consider a cardboard chair, too, so customers have something to sit in when the desk is set at its lower height.
