The Robots are Coming!

Ever wanted your own desktop robotic arm? Well, Dobot (pronounced "due-bought")has one for you! This thing is pretty cool. It is a small-scale robotic arm that sits on your desk and performs programmable tasks. You can even run it through mind control methods when you hook up the EEG. Soooo... What are you going to use this robot for? Um. Well. Right now I'm not really sure why anybody would need one on their desk--besides the fact that it looks pretty neat. But take a look at the video that the company has below. It shows the robotic arm performing simple tasks on voice command like writing notes and pouring solutions in a chemistry lab. I think that the possibilities are endless with this lil guy! I can't wait to see what Dobot does to market this to the masses and what new options it will have in the future. I'm not the only one who's excited about this, though. Dobot still has 42 days left on its Kickstarter campaign and it has exceeded its $36,000 goal by way over $100,000. Well played, Dobot!
